The Water Stewardship Committee is focused on encouraging, promoting and facilitating efficient and innovative use of the Milwaukee Region’s water resources, including, but not limited to, water conservation, water reuse and reducing unaccounted for water losses.  The Committee will “tap into” the water technology strengths of the Region and promote communication, cooperation and information sharing between, and for the mutual benefit of, water users and utilities (water and wastewater) in the Region.  Immediate tasks also include boosting energy conservation, enhancing development and testing of new technologies, developing a voluntary water stewardship standard that incorporates principles of efficiency and wise resource use,
and promoting water industry growth.
