The concept of the Blue Footprint™ – the nexus between the carbon and water footprint – was the featured topic of Water Summit IV in Milwaukee in July, 2010. Featured presentations were made by National Geographic Magazine, Veolia Water North America, McKinsey & Co. and actor/sustainability advocate Ed Begley, Jr.
The Blue Footprint corresponds with the Water Impact Index, first designed by Veolia Water. The Water Impact Index is the first indicator allowing for a comprehensive assessment of human activity on water resources. Find out more about it here.
