Scott is the COO of Imagine H2O, a nonprofit that inspires and empowers people to turn water challenges into opportunities. Imagine H2O’s annual business plan competition identifies early-stage water startups from around the world and supports the winning ideas through its Accelerator Program. Previous winners such as Water Smart Software, Black Gold Biofuels, Fruition Sciences, Hydrovolts and Fogbusters leveraged the Accelerator’s resources to secure outside investment and new customers. Imagine H2O recently announced New Sky, Bilexys, Nexus eWater and Tusaar as the winners of its Wastewater Prize. In October 2012, the organization will open a Consumer Innovations Prize to support entrepreneurs addressing the water needs of individuals.
Prior to joining Imagine H2O, Scott was a Financial Consultant at Royal Bank of Canada where he specialized in sustainable investment strategies for foundations and private investors. Prior to RBC, Scott was a Social Investment Analyst at Piper Jaffray where he assessed environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors for institutional investors. He has a BA in Economics from the Colorado College.
